Regulations put forward by Ontario on how to transition to a new planning tribunal mean hundreds of applications currently being considered by city could be appealed under old rules.

From Peter Milczyn, MPP, October 18th:  It is unfortunate that the dates for Committee Hearings and written submissions on Bill 139 have been changed.  The hearings for October 23 and 24 have been cancelled and the written submission deadline has been changed to October 18th at 5:00 pm.  These procedural changes are not uncommon at the Legislature.  However, I want to ensure you that any Etobicoke Lakeshore resident who wishes to make a written submission on the Bill will still have their views heard. 

An OMB prehearing regarding the proposed nine storey condominium at 2915-2917 Bloor Street West took place June 29th.  Parties and Participants were established.  The Hearing date will be set for early 2018. The Chair advised that presentations should be coordinated to avoid repeating arguments.
