The Bloor West Food Bank serves our immediate neighbourhood. They are desperately low on non-perishable food and financial resources. They served 95 families at this time last year and are now serving 280 with approx 20 new families registering weekly. They are giving less and less each week to their clients as their numbers go up and food resources decrease.
If you are able, please consider dropping off a food donation at St. Pius X Church on Bloor St. during their opening hours Thursday 9 am -12:30 pm or Friday 10:30 am - 4 pm. They also have collection bins at Royal LePage (Bloor and Windermere) and the Coffee Boutique (Bloor and Durie). They will accept porch drop-offs at any hour. Cash donations are accepted via e-transfer at infofoodbank.lf@gmail.com or during operating hours.
On this day when many of us are enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, please consider supporting others in our community who are going without.
